Why
Don't We Know The Truth? Because Corp Media Is Biased Don't Believe It? Here's The
Proof! Conflict of Interest Media Links
To The CFR
NewsFocus, by Tim Watts - 082211
Oftentimes in life when real truth presents itself to the
unknowing, or those who have been misled, the first response is, "Well, if that was really true it
would be on the nightly news."
Well folks, the painful truth is, our corporate owned,
billionaire-run media is not telling you the truth. To be painfully
blunt, they don't want you to know.
After 25 years of media experience, this
reporter can state matter of factly that our media is in bed
with the "powers that be." One glaring example,
all of our major network news
anchors are members of the
Council on Foreign Relations. This is something which
is expressly taboo
in honest journalism, yet the relationship is a provable fact. Here is the undeniable truth,
with the hyperlinks...
There are indeed more media members, but by now I certainly hope
you get the point.
In broadcast school and journalism we were taught two basic
fundamentals:
1) Seek out and follow the truth, because it is the story.
2) Do not become involved in entangling alliances that prevent
you from adhering to rule number one.
So why
would key members of our corporate media become members in a group that
exists, at the minimum, to affect foreign policy, and at the extreme, to
manipulate it for the new world order?
This is a clear-cut conflict of interest, plain and
simple. If you don't get that, you need to. You need to understand that
our media is clearly in bed with an arguably nefarious organization that
has a history of meddling in foreign affairs. The role of the news media
is to be a watchdog, to investigate groups such as this, not be in
league with it as part of its membership. This is egregious conduct and
these members should be ashamed of their affiliation, not proud of it.
So if the CFR takes a position against Iraq, Egypt or
Libya, how do you truly expect the news media to report the real truth
with an unbiased look at the facts?
Our media is controlled, and has been ever since the
early 1900s. Don't believe that? Read the official
U.S. Record, volume 54, dated February 9,
1917. Congressman Oscar Calloway noted it for all the world to see, but
if you don't look for it, don't expect our media to tell you about it.
If all of this is
indeed news to you, then more than likely you know nothing about
the CIA's efforts to infiltrate the media through Operation
Mockingbird, in order to control our news system and to spread media
disinformation in the U.S.
The point of this
article is, do not trust the corporate owned media!
Hopefully this
highlights the absurdity of the gullible response, "Well, if
it was really true it would be on the nightly news."
Such a naive observation couldn't be further from the
truth.
The real truth is very seldom ever on the nightly
news, especially when it comes to the "powers that be." Once in a
great while we have had exceptions to the rule, but sadly enough,
because of concentrated corporate media ownership, along with biased
media affiliations, such as with the CFR, the exceptions are becoming fewer
and farther between.
A CIA operative allegedly
told Washington Post editor Philip Graham ... in a conversation about the
willingness of journalists to peddle CIA propaganda and cover stories: "You
could get a journalist cheaper than a good call
girl, for a couple hundred dollars a month.
The Church Committee found that the CIA submitted stories to the American

Truth Must Spread By
Word of Mouth, Or Else It's Never Told The Corporate Media Won't Tell The Truth, So It's Up To You
-To All of Us NewsFocus Op/Ed, by Tim Watts 080611
If you've never seen the 1976 movie "Network" you've
missed one of the best Oscar nominated films on the power of the media over
people. The media is supposed to be the watchdog over the American republic and
our democracy, but few know or realize that it was usurped nearly 100 years ago and
has been completely stolen from
us in the last thirty years since the advent of Reagan deregulation.
Don't believe it? Put down the TV remote and do some
research on your own for once, instead of being spoon-fed your news, or
disinformation, as it truly is.
In 1917, Congressman Oscar Calloway documented in
the official Congressional record that multi-millionaire JP Morgan infiltrated
the U.S. media for the sole express purpose of controlling it.
Morgan hired twelve of
the top news managers to help him determine the most influential
newspapers in America. The idea was to find the primary key news
institutions that other news outlets looked to and were thus
influenced by. (This is documented by Calloway
in the official U.S. Record,
volume 54, dated February 9, 1917.)
Once the
editors arrived at a consensus, Morgan then bought or
infiltrated the top 25 news organizations reported to him by his
task force of news managers. An editor was assigned to run each
paper, making sure that all news stories were controlled and
that the watchdog for freedom was officially castrated. ... (Read

Republican media strategist Roger Ailes launched Fox News
Channel in 1996, ostensibly as a "fair and balanced" counterpoint to
what he regarded as the liberal establishment media. But according to a
remarkable document buried deep within the Richard Nixon Presidential
Library, the intellectual forerunner for Fox News was a nakedly partisan
1970 plot by Ailes and other Nixon aides to circumvent the "prejudices
of network news" and deliver "pro-administration" stories to heartland
television viewers.
The memo—called, simply enough, "A Plan For Putting
the GOP on TV News"— is included in a 318-page cache of documents
detailing Ailes' work for both the Nixon and George H.W. Bush
administrations that we obtained from the Nixon and Bush presidential
libraries. ... (Read

FOX News And O'Reilly Once Again Show Wrong
Video Footage On The Heels of The Ron Paul Deception, FOX News
Tries To Deceive On Protests
NewsFocus - 030311
FOX News has once again attempted to deceive its viewers
regarding the Wisconsin protests. They have been caught doing this on so
many occasions now, it has to be assumed that they are dishonest in
disseminating news, or perhaps just inept at doing the job of ethical
journalism. Anyone that watches FOX News is being fed propaganda and
disinformation. That is proven fact. The only people who don't realize
this are brainwashed FOX viewers, or die-hard, far right
Republicans, not to mention Aryan racists and Nazi lovers.
So what will be the excuse this time for running
deceptive video footage? What FOX is trying to do is make the protesters
appear to be mean and unruly, when in fact the opposite is true. The
protests have been totally peaceful, with police support, but the folks
at "Fair & Balanced" had to show footage from an aggressive protest in
California. Yup, the folks at FOX are also blind-ass stupid,
because not only did they miss the lack of snow in the background, they
also missed the visible palm trees that did show up. Unbelievable!
The FCC refuses to get involved, hiding behind the fact
that FOX is a satellite operation. They regulate content over the
airwaves, but are unwilling to evolve with the medium. When asked why
they will make new efforts to get involved in net neutrality, a medium
that clearly crosses satellites, but they still ignore regulation of
satellite television, this reporter was angrily hung up on. An
interesting response.
What we need to combat FOX is an
amendment to the FCC charter. Please call your Congressional
representatives and ask them to amend the FCC charter to cover satellite
broadcast. If you don't, it will only get worse.
FOX News Caught Red Handed Deceiving Viewers On Ron Paul
The FCC Needs To Revoke Their Broadcast License For This Clear Deception NewsFocus, by Tim Watts - 021611
Doing this once was bad enough, but twice should bring the
revocation of their license.
For the second consecutive time, Republican Congressman Ron Paul
has won the CPAC straw poll, and for the second consecutive time, FOX News has
gone out of their way to paint Paul in a bad light. In 2008, after winning the
CPAC endorsement, FOX buried their microphones in the Romney contingent in order
to highlight the cheers for him, but more importantly to accentuate any booing
for Paul. This year the crowd response was so overwhelming for Ron Paul,
apparently FOX felt it needed to run the old 2008 CPAC footage with their fake
deceptive booing.
This looks to many like a rerun of 2008 where the major
political parties did everything within their power to deny "we the people" our
right to the candidate of our political party. As an integral member of the
media team for the Dennis Kucinich Presidential campaign, I watched as the
Democratic party did everything they could to run from Kucinich, rather than
embrace the overwhelming hands down winner of every liberal and progressive
poll. It's a matter of public record.
Look back at the polls. Kucinich was the
hands down favorite of Democrats, as was Ron Paul for the Republicans, yet
neither candidate was picked by their party. I have written about the extreme
lengths that hidden powers went to in
preventing Kucinich from the presidential debate, but it wasn't just him
that they feared, it was also Republican Ron Paul.
Why would a major political party shoot itself in the foot and
choose the much less popular candidate to represent it in any election, let
alone the one election for all the marbles?
It all comes down to one thing... money. Actually BIG money.
Huge money. And we're talking mega-trillions folks. The biggest target for both
Congressmen is the abolishment of the corrupt
Federal Reserve. Both Paul and
Kucinich are ardent advocates for the dissolution of this private institution
that has usurped the sovereignty of this country
since 1913. Once you understand this, you will better understand the concerted
drive to keep both of these Congressmen of integrity from ever becoming
our President.
With FOX News, a known Republican promotional vehicle, going
out of their way to flat out deceive its viewers regarding Paul, it's readily
apparent how much they fear his candidacy and what it would do to the power
structure behind the scenes in this country.
As a media veteran, I understand all too well
how our media is controlled. It
happens each and every day, on a scale that few could imagine. It's
time for the rest of America to wake up and realize that they're being lied to by the
corporate mainstream media.
I know one thing for myself right now... if it comes down to a
horse race between Obama and Ron Paul, this reporter will be voting for "real
change," for the candidate who has the guts to stand up to the Federal Reserve.
It's been business as usual for two Presidents now, even though both are from
opposing parties.
Well, I for one am tired of the ultra-wealthy bankers controlling our country, starting
all of the wars
and sacrificing our kids for their own profit. Andrew Jackson freed us from the
central banks once long ago. It's time we had another President with the resolve
of Jackson, who will stand up to the central banks once again, and free us from
their oppressive control.
President Kennedy also tried to fight them, but sadly not with
the same results as Jackson. We owe JFK dearly for that. We owe
ourselves another candidate like Jackson and Kennedy, someone who will fight to undo the big money
power structure in this country. If we don't, it's going to be business as
usual, with a further erosion of our Constitutional rights and a continuing downward
spiral for America.

Homeland Security Protecting Corporate Broadcasting Now? Is This What We Were Told We Needed Homeland
Security For?
NewsFocus.org, 020111
The
Department of Homeland Security has recently seized a popular
multimedia website, featuring top flight sports and popular
television shows. The website,
ATDHE.net,
was recently seized by Homeland Security and pulled from the
internet. The interesting thing is, it was not the FCC or the FTC,
nor even the FBI, but Homeland Security that took the site down.
Technically, it was the Department of ICE, Immigrations and Customs
Enforcement, that pulled the popular website.
"This domain has been seized by ICE, Homeland
Security Investigations, Special Agent in Charge, New York Office,
in accordance with a seizure warrant obtained by the United
State's Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York
and issued pursuant to 18 U.S.C. 981 and 2323 by the United States
District for the Southern District of New York."
While this is not a stunning revelation that a
pirate site was taken down, it is quite a surprise to see that it
came under the auspices of Homeland Security. It's not
exactly what we were told that Homeland Security was needed for.
So what's next from Big Brother and the

Signs Off With Last Broadcast America And The World Lose A Great Journalist With Moyers'
Retirement NewsFocus - by Tim Watts - 050210
The American
media has lost an icon of journalistic integrity with the retirement of Bill
Moyers. Always willing to tell it like it is, even when it rubbed corporate
sponsors the wrong way, Moyers' affable style was easy to get comfortable with,
but his integrity to honest journalism was probably the character trait that
will define his broadcast legacy the most. Sadly, you don't get honest news like that from the
major networks anymore. Moyers refused to be a corporate shill and for that he is head
and shoulders above the current dollar-a-holler news whores who will read anything off a
teleprompter for a buck.
Moyers was probably the first mainstream
journalist to publicly tell all about the powers that be, with his
revealing 1987 PBS broadcast report on "The
Secret Government." Unlike so many of his peers, Bill was passionate
about reporting the truth. He was ever observant, and oh so vigilant when it
came to ferreting out the real facts of a story.
During his sign off,
he left us parting words of wisdom on the state of our union, and he was, as
always, spot on the money. "Plutocracy and democracy don't mix," said
Moyers. Wise words indeed. Something you won't get from today's corporate media.
He also said not to worry
about him leaving, because
someone else will surely pick up the baton and carry on for him. While this
editor may not hold the same optimism, I certainly hope and pray that he is right. Jon
Stewart and Amy Goodman, you're all we've got left now.
To
the honorable and noble Bill Moyers,
thank you very much for your service sir. You will be greatly missed, and much more so than
even Cronkite, because unlike Cronkite and so many other tainted journalists

These
incidents represent only a fraction of the covert corporate influence peddling

2007 at least seventy-five registered lobbyists, public relations
representatives and corporate officials--people paid by companies and trade

Hosts Jon Stewart On 'The Factor' Stewart Blazes Through FOX News, Takes No Prisoners, Eats Bill O' For

For some strange reason, Bill
O'Reilly has decided to look beyond the regular beatings he takes when he visits
the Daily Show Show by bringing Jon Stewart into his studio to be pummeled by
him on FOX turf for a change. One can't really believe the interview was all about
ratings, as their worth is trivial compared to the damage that Stewart is able
to inflict to the nonsense that is the far right narrative of FOX News. It's like
letting a Jedi Master walk into a den of thieves. It is mere child's play for
Stewart. What makes it easy for Stewart is that he A) has a vision that
encompasses all of humanity and not just the privileged elite, 2) he never
strays from the truth, and 3) O'Reilly just doesn't get the debate, nor
understand the world according to the rest of us.
What is most interesting is that
O'Reilly has to actually dissect the interview with FOX commentators afterwards
to see if he won. The funny thing is, neither commentator thinks Bill O' won.
O'Reilly actually stoops so low as to ask a body language expert to see if he
intimidated Stewart, to which she essentially replies, "not at all." The
second part of the interview runs tonight on The O'Reilly Factor.
It's funny that the two liberal intellectuals that
always get the best of Bill O'Reilly
are both comedians, Jon Stewart and Al Franken. (Franken is now a MN Senator.)

Microsoft, they have each literally conquered the world in such a short
amount of time. Their power is not to be taken lightly.

Considering the public is held accountable for everything we

picture. The CIA is the President's secret army, who have been
and continue to be conveniently above the law with unlimited power

"old boy network" of socializing, talking shop, and tapping each

As terrible as it is to live in a nation where the press in known
to be controlled by the government, at least one has the advantage
of knowing the bias is present, and to adjust for it. In the
United States of America, we are taught from birth that our press
is free from such government meddling. This is an insidious lie
about the very nature of the news institution in this country. One
that allows the government to lie to us while denying the very
fact of the lie itself.
Once you know how you are being manipulated

they might reverse years of cynical, self-serving mismanagement

Glenn Beck And Left-Right Confusion Salon.com,
by Glen Greenwald - Tuesday Sept. 22, 2009
08:23 EDT
Last night during his CBS interview
with Katie Couric,
Glenn Beck said he may have voted for Hillary Clinton and
that "John McCain would have been worse for the country than
Barack Obama." This comment predictably spawned
confusion among some liberals and
anger among some conservatives. But even prior to that,
there had been a palpable increase in the right-wing attacks on
Beck -- some motivated by
professional competition for the incredibly lucrative industry
of right-wing opinion-making, some due to
understandable discomfort with his
crazed and irresponsible rhetoric, but
much of it the result of Beck's growing deviation from GOP (and
neoconservative) dogma. Increasingly, there is great
difficulty in understanding not only Beck's political
orientation but, even more so, the movement that has sprung up
around him. Within that confusion lies several important
observations about our political culture, particularly the
inability to process anything that does not fall comfortably
into the conventional "left-right" dichotomy through which
everything is understood. ... (Read

The corporate media in the United States are
ignoring valid news stories, based on university quality
research. It appears that certain topics are simply forbidden
inside the mainstream corporate media today. To openly cover
these news stories would stir up questions regarding
“inconvenient truths” that many in the US power structure want
to avoid.
For example, current research indicates that public schools in
the United States are more segregated today than they have been
in more than four decades. According to a new Civil Rights
report, published at the University of California, Los Angeles,
schools in the US are 44 percent non-white, and minorities are
rapidly emerging as the majority of public school students in
the US. Latinos and blacks, the two largest minority groups,
attend schools more segregated today than during the civil
rights movement forty years ago. Millions of non-white students
are locked into “dropout factory” high schools, where huge
percentages do not graduate. The most severe segregation in
public schools occurs in the Western states, including
California—not in the South, as many people believe. Most
non-white schools are segregated by poverty as well as race.
Schools in low-income communities remain highly unequal in terms
of funding, qualified teachers, and curriculum.
Other taboo stories include civilian death rates in Iraq and
questions on 9/11. ...
Where did these covert instructions to the media originate? The
United States was appropriately proud of its constitution, built
on the foundation of balance of power so that no group or person
would be able to achieve absolute power. The President, the
Congress and the Courts in concert with a Free press were
supposed to make sure that the public received the kind of
government that the American Revolution was fought over.
However, in 1947 Congress had passed The National Security Act
and that's where the weakness lay. The CIA, the bastard child of
the Act, was effectively beyond the control of checks and
balances. It is in the nature of Power that it defends its
interests in whatever way it deems necessary, and Power here
found a useful instrument, an organization without oversight
which could easily be taken over and manipulated for the
purposes of the powerful. (From Armageddon Explained or

Learn About That Which Has Been Hidden In Our World Discover how the truth has been twisted, slanted and
purposefully kept from you
The
New York Times story about MSNBC's corporate parent, General
Electric, forcing the network to soften its criticism of Fox
News has generated a lot of buzz over the weekend. But what's so
telling about the story and the residual chatter is that, with
the exception of
Glenn Greenwald's typically terrific coverage, it largely
misses the newsiest - and most taboo - part of the whole
brouhaha.
What the Times story and the aftershock gossip
focuses on is the personality feud and new detente between
MSNBC's Keith Olbermann and Fox News' Bill O'Reilly. That's
supposedly the "news." And yet the real story is the
heavy-handed intervention by the CEO of General Electric
effectively forcing MSNBC's news team off a crucially important
set of stories - namely, Fox News' politicization/Republicanization
of media.
For years, Establishment media voices like
Charlie Rose (yes, the same Charlie Rose who the Times story
says played a direct role in the corporate parents' intervention
at MSNBC and Fox) have
insisted that it's a black-helicopter-style conspiracy
theory to assert that corporate parent companies
pressure/impact/limit the newsrooms they control.
But, of course, the evidence has become
overwhelming in the last 15 years. ... (More)
Since Walter Cronkite's passing, new focus has
been put on the decline of legitimate news sources in America.
The big three networks have fallen the way of the corporate
cable news/propaganda networks and people are turning to
alternate sources like The Daily Show to get a little truth with
their news. That's why it came as no surprise that Jon Stewart
was voted Most Trusted Newscaster In America
in a recent Time poll.
Not to take away from Stewart's
accomplishments, but it does speak volumes about the way the
American people view the major networks and their "news"
departments -- and that they would take the word of a comedian
more seriously than high profile, highly paid network news
anchors.
Stewart has long taken on the corporate media,
beginning with
his notorious smackdown of the feckless Tucker Carlson on
CNN's Crossfire in 2004, which lead to the eventual demise of
the show. Since then, he has been relentless in his pursuit of
the truth, and C&L has been posting videos from The Daily Show
for years, along with many other blogs, big and small.
Time Magazine has recently published a hit piece unabashedly
refuting some of the biggest conspiracies of modern time, lumped
together with a few 20th century rumors. They did it with no investigation whatsoever, yet the
folks at Time just know that the following
stories (below) are pure craziness. Way to put some journalistic integrity
into your work Time Magazine. To lump six or seven worthwhile
mysteries in with a few stories that are clearly unverifiable, or
perhaps just verifiably stupid, they try to discredit the truth in
all of them. That's how disinformation and propaganda works.
No matter that a motorcycle cop had
his radio microphone keyed and picked up (and recorded) numerous
shots at Dealy Plaza, all too close together to have come from a
single bolt-action carbine rifle, or that over one hundred
eyewitnesses mysteriously died within a year of coming forward
with grassy knoll testimony, Time Magazine knows that the JFK
assassination is all just poppycock.
It apparently doesn't matter that
three buildings fell at near free fall speed through the path of
most resistance on 9/11, or that a military grade cutting charge
was found in four separate samples of WTC debris, or that parts
found in the debris do not match the airplanes said to be
responsible for them, Time Magazine says that they know better,
even without providing research of their own.
It's no big deal that the Federal
Reserve is not run by the US government, or that the Bilderberg
group, Council on Foreign Relations, Trilateral Commission, or
Bohemian Grove members have designs on controlling the world, Time
Magazine's lack of personal investigation makes all of this
untrue, just because they say so.
Forget all the medical research
that shows AIDS is an engineered virus, Time Magazine surely knows
better without ever having to look or do a journalistic
investigation on their own.
The fact that they didn't live
during the time of Jesus has no bearing on what they know
about his personal relationships. Time Magazine knows better.
While this author has no definitive
research one way or the other regarding a reptilian race, I am
fairly convinced that a great number of Jews were persecuted at
the hands of Hitler because I saw firsthand photos taken by a WWII
intelligence vet. But throw in a stupid pop rumor regarding Paul McCartney and
Time has done its best to lump all the other mysteries into one
big vat of bullshit. If anyone should know about bullshit, it
would have to be Time Magazine.
Too bad they didn't try to refute
Operation
Mockingbird or the fact that their own magazine is
a mouthpiece for the CIA. Hey, maybe that's because it's real and
not a conspiracy. Way to go Time!

The Difficulty of Being an Informed American
By Paul Craig Roberts January 08, 2009
The American print and TV media has never been very
good. These days it is horrible. If a person intends to be
informed, he must turn to foreign news broadcasts, to Internet
sites, to foreign newspapers available on the Internet, or to
alternative newspapers that are springing up in various cities. A
person who sits in front of Murdoch's Fox "News" or CNN or who
reads the New York Times is simply being brainwashed with
propaganda.
Before
conservatives nod their heads in agreement, I'm not referring to
"the liberal media." I mean the propaganda that issues from the US
government and the Israel Lobby.
It was neoconservative Bush
regime propaganda fed to America through Judith Miller and the
New York Times and through Murdoch's Fox "News" that
convinced Americans that they were in danger from a small secular
Arab country half way around the globe called Iraq. It was the
American media that convinced Americans that getting rid of
dangerous "weapons of mass destruction," weapons that did not
exist in Iraq, would be a cakewalk paid for by Iraqi oil revenues.
