An Open Appeal To All Americans

Folks,

Don't be fooled on the health care reform bill being worked out behind our backs in Washington. It's a farce, period. The whole thing is a scam to make the insurance industry moguls even richer. If you're paying attention to real news sources and not the corporate media, you more than likely already know this. If not, please consider the following.

It's not just the Republicans that are fighting against us on this issue. Key Democrats are turning their back on us as well. Many of the Republicans fighting against it were the biggest recipients of campaign bribes from the insurance industry, along with numerous key Democrats, The guy leading the effort for the Dems, Max Baucus hammered this bill out with his chief staffer, a former Vice President for Wellpoint Insurance. :o(

Starting to get the picture?

The biggest lie in this whole plan is the Public Option. They called it this to make us think it was for us, the public, but it is far from that.

As pointed out in a previous email, the public option is not free and will be run by... not our government, but,.. (you guessed it) the insurance industry!

See the following article:

Public option likely to be managed by private insurance company
RawStory.com, by John Byrne - Saturday, October 24th, 2009

A little-noticed tidbit in Saturday's Washington Post is sure to raise eyebrows among supporters of a government-run healthcare plan: the plan is likely to be administered by a private insurance company, the very companies that progressive activists are trying to unseat.

The public option would effectively be just another insurance plan offered on the open market. It would likely be administered by a private insurance provider, charging premiums and co-payments like any other policy. ...

-------------------------------------

With 46-million Americans uninsured, this means our wonderful back-stabbing bought-and-paid-for Congress is about to deliver all of these poor souls as hundreds of billions of dollars in more profit to an already TRILLION DOLLAR per year insurance industry.

Here's the big kicker that many do not know, Congress is talking about making it a law that you have to have health insurance, whether you want it or not. (Just like automobile insurance.) This is what guarantees 46-million uninsured citizens to the greedy and unscrupulous health insurance industry.

And don't think you will automatically qualify for the supposedly lower cost "Public Option" because that will be available to those who can't afford private health insurance. Congress is trying to minimize who can take part in that plan.

Nevertheless, the insurance industry is the BIG winner here, along with the corrupt politicians who are on the take, accepting millions in bribes (campaign donations) from the insurance parasites.

There is one plan that many have not heard about because Congress is keeping it quiet, even though it has been proposed for years. This is the Conyers-Kucinich bill, HR 676. It GUARANTEES all of us FREE healthcare, while cutting the insurance industry out of the grossly obscene and immoral trillions in profit they rake in by denying us coverage because of pre-existing conditions, like acne, headaches, or acid reflux. (Yes, they've done this already.)

HR 676 is a single payer plan, meaning our government is the lone payer for all claims. They pay the bills and their administrative overhead, but with no profit! Over 33% of our current health care costs go as profit to line the pockets of corporate CEOs already making hundreds of millions in salary, plus hundreds of millions in yearly bonuses. HR 676 ends all of that, driving the cost of health care down as a result.

Under HR 676 there are no premiums for you to pay, no co-pays and no deductibles. Seriously. If you think it is too good to be true, look into HR 676 and prove it to yourself. Look to Congressmen John Conyers or Dennis Kucinich, the authors of the bill, for more info. Make no mistake about it, you may find sites not advocating this plan, but they are no doubt influenced by the one entity about to benefit from the horrendous health care reform bill being crafted against us, the insurance industry.

Under HR 676 there will be no more bankrupt families due to outrageous medical bills. Plus, you get to pick your doctor, your dentist and your hospital. Over 14,000 doctors are fighting for and supporting HR 676, so don't let anyone try to tell you it will ruin our health care system. The doctors know better and are doing their part for us. It's time that we reciprocated and helped with our support as well.

How do we pay for it? Simple, with money we're already spending. In America, we pay the most of any country for health care and we get the least. (We rank 37th in the world for health care.)

Funding the plan: Maintain current federal and state funding for existing healthcare programs; employer payroll tax of 4.5%, an employee payroll tax of 3.3%, in addition to the already existing 1.45% for Medicare; establish a 5% health tax on the top 5% of income earners; 10% tax on top 1% of wage earners, 1/3rd of 1% stock transaction tax, closing corporate tax loop-holes; repeal the Bush tax cut for the highest income earners. (The ultra-wealthy would finally pay part of their debt to society to fund HR 676.)

Folks, we've already been screwed by Congress once before on the Wall Street bailout, keeping the ultra-rich wealthy while they foreclose on the mortgages of "we the people." The middle and lower class Americans have received nothing from the bail-out, except for a single-finger salute from Wall Street and our formerly esteemed Congress.

Please don't cite cash for clunkers as a bail-out for the average American either, because the little money paid out to those already well off enough to buy a new car, sorely pales in comparison to the trillions that the bankers and Wall Street fat cats got from the Bush and Obama administrations.

We have all been screwed royally during the greatest economic downturn since the great depression and they're doing it to us again with this awful health care scam. (Both parties are sticking it to us.) The rich are getting richer while we take it in the shorts.

Please don't take my word for it, read and educate yourself. Be forewarned though, it will take some effort. You won't find the best answers from our corporate media. You will have to go to the internet (another thing they're trying to close off to us) and do some real research.

Don't just sit there and take more abuse like we did on the bail-outs. Our democracy works only when we speak in unison together. Let them hear us on Capitol Hill.

Contact your Senators:

Tell your reps that we don't want to be a mandatory offering to the insurance industry for hundreds of billions more in profit. We want a real public option, like HR 676. Real health care reform with real insurance in the best interests of "we the people."

Please... it's easy to do and it's the right thing to do, for your children, grandchildren, and all of us.

Democracy only works when each of us gets off our butt and makes an effort.

Please, make a simple phone call or send a quick and easy email.

It will be worth it if we win HR 676.

With best regards to all,

Tim
